Description

The Volkswagen Golf Mk1, introduced in 1974, was the first generation of the popular Volkswagen Golf series. In 1983, the Golf Mk1 was still in production.

The Golf Mk1 was available in several body styles, including a three-door hatchback, a five-door hatchback and a convertible. This Golf is a three-door hatchback. It was a compact car that became hugely popular for its versatility.

The Golf Mk1 was offered with several gasoline engines, varying in size and power. Some diesel options were also available. In this case, the car came with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine to which an LPG tank was later added. An automatic transmission was attached to the engine.

The Golf Mk1 had a simple but effective design. It was compact, aerodynamic and functional. The design of the Golf Mk1 is often considered an icon in the history of compact cars.
